What is ECO4?

The ECO4 scheme (Energy Company Obligation phase 4) is a UK Government initiative aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes across the country, particularly for low-income and vulnerable households. Funded by energy companies, ECO4 helps cover the cost of home upgrades that reduce fuel poverty and carbon emissions.
Eligibility
- Located in England, Scotland or Wales
- Household income below £31,000 or on qualifying benefits
- Private tenant or homeowner (not landlord or council tenant)
- Home has poor energy efficiency (usually EPC D or below)
